This two day online training covers the skills needed to best support First Nations communities in management and response to a crisis.
Ideal skills for those in roles as a Wellbeing & Safety Manager, Volunteer Co-ordinator, Case Manager or Contact Worker wanting to ensure best practice and support to staff and clients following a crisis.
Over two days gain insight into:
Psychological First Aid
Crisis Communication Skills
Psychological & behavioural reactions to Critical Incidents
Informational Group Processes (for example Crisis Management Briefings)
Interactional Group Processes (for example Immediate Small Group Support/ Defusing)
Referring on for Powerful Event Group Support (PEGS)/Debriefing
Stress Stocktakes and working with cumulative stress situations
Resilience and Post-Traumatic Growth/Self-Care
